If available: own experiences around the topic of "artificial intelligence" in everyday life
Artificial intelligence is already shaping our everyday lives - often unnoticed, sometimes impressive, sometimes disconcerting. But what does this rapid development mean for our society, for education, for democratic processes and for our understanding of knowledge?
In this course, participants will take a critical look at the complex of topics surrounding AI. The focus is not on technical training, but on a broad, comprehensible overview of key issues:
What opportunities does AI open up for learning, participation and collaborative action?
Where do risks arise - for example for opinion-forming, transparency or social justice?
How is our understanding of facts, knowledge and truth changing?
And what does it mean for us as a society if machines are increasingly involved in decision-making?
The course offers space for discussion and questioning. Aspects such as "What is a good prompt?" are addressed, but are not the focus - they rather serve as an introduction to understanding the mechanisms and limits of current AI systems.
