#Keep fit+: Retirement provision for families: The influence of raising children, the pension system and employment

The lecture shows the connection between family structures and poverty in old age as well as the effects of the Austrian pension system on this. In particular, the role of child-raising periods and the division of pension entitlements between fathers and mothers will be examined. It is discussed whether full employment of both parents is sufficient as the sole solution for old-age provision. Examples and statistics will be used to highlight the challenges of the system, while participants will also be given practical advice on how to improve their financial future in old age.
