In recent years, interest in the direct and indirect past has increased more and more. The popular phrase "Well, things were different in MY youth..." has led to an increased interest in the lives of our parents and grandparents. Many things that seem unthinkable and awkward to us today were still part of everyday life 70 years ago....
The Carinthian Adult Education Centers, the Carinthian Provincial Museum and the Facebook group "Old Views of Klagenfurt" want to give space to the memories of our older fellow citizens and invite you to a "Storytelling Café".
After a short introductory talk by "Alte Ansichten" admin Johannes Lebitsch, every visitor has the opportunity to share their own private memories with an ever-growing group of interested people at the "Erzählcafé". The stories will be recorded and can be used (anonymously) for printed works and presentations.
The organizers are particularly pleased when the stories are accompanied by pictures from private collections. Because only old photos really bring the stories from the past to life.
