Sewing machine, scissors, measuring tape, chalk, pins, sewing silk, fabric remnants, zipper if necessary, material costs, depending on the workpiece made
Would you like to learn how to use your sewing machine from scratch and realize your first creative projects? Then this introductory course is just right for you! Step by step, you will learn the most important sewing basics: from correct threading to different types of stitches and seam serging.
Together you will sew simple, practical projects such as small bags (e.g. for cosmetics, advent calendars) or upholstery covers with or without zippers - ideal for applying what you have learned directly.
The course is aimed at beginners with no previous knowledge, but also at anyone who would like to refresh their skills.
Bring your own sewing machine and discover the joy of making things yourself!
For anyone with an interest in sustainable topics. Previous knowledge is not required.
The course is part of our "VHS Green" course series, which focuses on sustainability and conscious living. Aspects of sustainability are discussed, possible courses of action are shown and reflection is encouraged. The "VHS Green" course encourages personal and social change and promotes sustainable lifestyles.
