Implementing UNESCO goals locally: Education, art and culture as drivers for sustainable (regional) development

Education, science and culture have enormous creative and democratic potential. This potential can only unfold in specific, local contexts and through the interaction of various institutions and individuals. In conversation with Beate Gfrerer, the working methods of UNESCO will be explained and it will be shown how the goals of international organizations can be implemented at local and regional level. What role do municipalities, education networks, cultural initiatives and education providers such as the VHS play in this? Which institutions and stakeholders in Carinthia are specifically involved in implementing the UNESCO goals? And how can each and every one of us take an active role in shaping a sustainable reality in our own lives?

This event is part of the "70 years of VHS" anniversary program and participation is free of charge.
