GardenNature course series
Each season signals to us what gardening work needs to be done and when. In the phenological calendar, we are guided by nature and the visible development phases of selected indicator plants. They show us when to start sowing and planting or when to harvest. The 10 seasons also give us information about our climate. Plants become a measuring instrument and provide us with information about a variety of environmental factors.
Providing practical knowledge for the garden and our environment. Lecture with open discussion and practical tour.
No previous knowledge necessary.
The course takes place in cooperation with DI.in Melanie Wiedl in the Impuls Center Seeboden, entrance on the right on the first floor.
www.natur-forschen-entdecken.at
For anyone with an interest in sustainable topics. Previous knowledge is not required.
The course is part of our "VHS Green" course series, which focuses on sustainability and conscious living. Aspects of sustainability are discussed, possible courses of action are shown and reflection is encouraged. The "VHS Green" course encourages personal and social change and promotes sustainable lifestyles. The learning objectives are to acquire knowledge about, for example, ecological, social and economic interrelationships and to motivate students to act in a reflective, responsible and resource-conserving manner. #vhsforfuture #BNE
