Ingeborg Bachmann is one of the most important writers in the German-speaking world. However, few people know what a close connection she had to the small village of Obervellach near Hermagor - a formative place in her childhood and youth.
On a walk through Obervellach, we follow in the footsteps of the young Ingeborg Bachmann. She spent many vacations and the last months of the war here, wrote her first works such as Das Honditschkreuz and kept her "war diary". Her encounter with the Jewish soldier Jack Hamesh is also discussed.
As Bachmann herself said: "The years of youth are, without a writer knowing it at the beginning, his real capital." It is precisely these years that are the focus of our tour.
