Whether TikTok, Telegram or gaming forums: extremist ideologies are part of everyday digital worlds. In this interactive lecture, participants learn how radical groups use social media to mobilize in a targeted manner - often subtly, through memes, influencers or pop culture.
Using practical examples and media analyses, the course teaches how digital radicalization works and which target groups are particularly at risk. The focus is on education, critical media skills and concrete strategies for everyday life and work.
The event is funded by the Austrian Society for Civic Education. This enables participants to attend free of charge. Registration is required.
