Here's to being good neighbors! Mixed cultivation in the garden, on the balcony or on the patio
Part 1: The basics of mixed cultivation
Mixed cultivation is a sustainable cultivation principle in which different types of vegetables are planted next to each other in order to support each other's growth. Already practiced in ancient cultures, it was systematically developed further in the 20th century by Gertrud Franck. Suitable combinations can reduce pests, protect the soil and increase yields. What is mixed cultivation? Where and how can I use it? Which neighborhoods get along and what are the benefits? We will answer questions like these together in a specialist lecture with discussion and joint exchange.
This is the first part of a four-part course series - part 1 and part 2 build on each other, part 3 and part 4 are an extension/supplement to the subject area
The course takes place in cooperation with DI.in Melanie Wiedl in the Impuls Center Seeboden, entrance on the right on the first floor.

For anyone with an interest in sustainable topics. Previous knowledge is not required.
The course is part of our "VHS Green" course series, which focuses on sustainability and conscious living. Aspects of sustainability are discussed, possible courses of action are shown and reflection is encouraged. The "VHS Green" course encourages personal and social change and promotes sustainable lifestyles. The learning objectives are to acquire knowledge about, for example, ecological, social and economic interrelationships and to motivate students to act in a reflective, responsible and resource-conserving manner. #vhsforfuture #BNE
