Austria has very good forestry legislation - but even the best laws leave room for interpretation and questions. When is an area legally considered a "forest"? Is a forest assessment necessary? What role does the public interest play in the clearing process - forest conservation or clearing?
In the course, we examine key topics such as:
* Forest status and forest determination
* The public interest in deforestation
* Right of access in the forest
* Development: forest roads, logging roads, alpine access roads
* Liability in the forest stand and on the forest road
* Forest devastation: beginning and legal consequences
* Civil law principles and related administrative laws
In addition, many practical issues will be discussed. The aim is to give participants more confidence in dealing with the legal framework of forestry law.
The course is part of our "VHS Green" course series, which focuses on sustainability and conscious living. Aspects of sustainability are discussed, possible courses of action are shown and reflection is encouraged. The "VHS Green" course encourages personal and social change and promotes sustainable lifestyles. The learning objectives are to acquire knowledge about, for example, ecological, social and economic interrelationships and to motivate students to act in a reflective, responsible and resource-conserving manner. #vhsforfuture #BNE
